Screenings Compactors


 

1. Heavy-duty stainless steel construction standard. Removable catchment tray covers allow visual inspection of screen area.

2. Automatic spray header washes organics from screenings in the gravity dewatering zone. Adjustable controls can be provided for programmable intermittent washing.

3. Variable pitch stainless steel screw assists in organic removal and provides consistent feed to the compaction zone.

4. Compaction zone can achieve in excess of 60% solids content of screenings. Free water is captured and discharged through the gravity dewatering zone.

5. Discharge piping conveys compacted screenings to the proper elevation and discharge location..

6. Drive unit is sized according to individual applications. The heavy-duty hollow-shaft gear reducer provides solid shaft support, which minimizes screw flight wear. Wash-down duty features are standard.

7. External thrust bearing removes thrust load from gear reducer bearings, which provides longer gear reducer service life.

8. Emergency stop switch, which promotes operator safety, is standard. Motor controllers and other control devices are optional.
